The Gift of Sight
Each year in the U.S., 46,000 people require a corneal transplant due to an eye injury or illness.
By registering as an eye, organ and tissue donor in your state, you let your friends and family know you want to join Heartland Lions Eye Banks as our Partner in Donation. Even if you’re older, have poor eyesight or have a non-communicable disease, you may still be able to provide the give of sight. In fact, 2,178 residents of Missouri, Kansas and Illinois donated their eyes through the Eye Bank in 2010.
