90,000 Missourians Screened, and Counting...
Since 1981, when our Glaucoma Detection Program started, the Missouri Lions Eye Research Foundation has screened over 90,000 Missourians for this potentially blinding disease. However, there are still many more people who are at risk for losing sight to glaucoma.

It's estimated that over 46,000 Missourians currently suffer from glaucoma. There are many more cases of glaucoma that have remained undetected. Through our screening program, the Foundation hopes to identify those at risk for glaucoma by administering a simple vision screening.
